I dug it up and ordered a copy to our summer nanny the other day who's about to graduate with multiple majors from her undergrad program, and is smart as a whip, but still has only a vague sense of what she should "do with her life." I am confident when I recommend this to her. If she finds time to read it in the midst of her 18 hr course load this semester, she'll be happy she did.So - if you are searching for a framework you can use to think about where to invest your energy for the rest of your life (including not just career but volunteer work, causes, hobbies, etc.) then think about getting this book.

The book is great for understanding one's gifts and strengths, and for gaining a solid perspective on spiritual gifts. I appreciate the authors' understanding of the Bible and of human nature. The title makes the book sound to me like a simple self-help book but actually it goes much deeper than that.

This is an excellent book about the importance of discovering what your gifts, talents and motivations are and then living those things out. What makes this book different from other career-type books I have read is that it was written from a Christian perspective. The authors share how God is the one who gives us gifts and talents and designs us with our specific motivations. They also focus on how using our gifts is intertwined with every area of our Christian life. I have used this book to help young adults who were trying to get a sense of their calling or job fit. I have taken the extensive tests for vocational identity and the like. They were much more expensive, but not any better.

A clear look into the way God has uniquely woven His will into us through the talents and abilities He has given us. To help the Christian searcher in particular who is in early, mid or anytime career transition to see the importance of finding and using their God-given capabilities and passions to glorify God and discover their sense of true purpose. A very helpful book.
